Rockford woman robbed of her purse at gunpoint on Monday night

Police are on the lookout for two men who robbed a Rockford woman at gunpoint Monday night.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., police say a woman parked her vehicle in the 2600 block of Blackwell Drive when an SUV occupied by four men pulled up behind her. Two black men, both about 30 years old, got out – one of whom was armed with a handgun – and robbed her of her purse.

No one was hurt.

One suspect is described as 6’0″, 240 lbs wearing all dark clothing; the other is about 5’5″, 200 lbs, wearing all black clothing.
