Rockford’s Leading Edge Hydraulics held a two-day job fair at its 1800 16th Avenue location, during which it hoped to hire 15 to 20 new workers.
Leading Edge says it is in need of workers with mechanical aptitude who are willing to try something new.
The company makes hydraulic tube assemblies for a whole list of industries, including forestry, agriculture, materials handling, construction, alternative energy and mining.
Some of its customers include John Deere and Caterpillar.
Openings include maintenance roles, customer service positions, and production jobs.
The company says their expansion will contribute to the city’s economy as a whole.
“We’re looking to hire new people because we expanded to three shift, and with adding three shifts, we need to fill positions on each shift and position ourselves to go after more new business opportunities,” said Operations Manager John Dennis.
If you missed the job fair, you can still apply by visiting the company website.
