A tattoo parlor hoping to open in downtown Rockton will not get that opportunity after the Village Board denied their application at Tuesday night’s village board meeting.

‘N Style Studio was applying to open up at 118 W. Main Street. A facade grant, to improve the exterior of the building, was approved. The building has largely laid vacant for years. It was last occupied by an accountant for several months.

According to Rockton’s Planning and Development Administrator, Patricia Diduch, ‘N Style Studio’s application was turned down because it did not meet the zoning requirements and the business will have to wait one year to reapply, unless part of their plan “significantly changes.”
