ROSCOE, Ill. (WTVO) — A Roscoe restaurant announced it would be closing its doors at the end of May.

Backyard Grill and Bar, which also has a location in Loves Park, announced Thursday that it would be shuttering it’s Roscoe location, at 5390 Elevator Road, after 20 years of operation.

“For the past 20 years we have seen the community grow in many areas and as we close our Roscoe location, we are happy to see that the community will continue to grow without our participation. Closing this location will allow us to focus on our main restaurant, while continuing to bring happiness with great food and great service,” the company’s owner, Richard Schmidt, said.

The company says any coupons, gift certificates, and other promotions purchased at the location will be honored at the Loves Park location, at 6473 N. 2nd Street.

“As we make this transition, we understand that some in the community will be upset to see us go, but don’t worry, our Loves Park location is going strong and will continue to serve customers,” Schmidt said.
