Last week, we told you that the president and CEO of Rosecrance is joining Governor-elect J.B. Pritzker’s transition team.
Rosecrance’s Phil Eaton is on Pritzker’s Healthy Children and Families Committee.
Eaton says the committee has already been meeting for a few weeks now and he’s very pleased and encouraged by the work it has accomplished so far.
The team will focus on making sure Illinois residents have access to the resources to lead healthy lives.
In the past, Eaton has worked with former Governors Rod Blagojevich and Jim Edgar.
The team’s efforts will include: identifying federal funding streams, policy opportunities, and initiatives.
Eaton says he looks forward to helping to come up with solutions to move Illinois forward.
“It is very exciting to have a seat at the table and try to help shape the start, right out of the blocks, what would be the priorities that the Governor’s office would attempt to address for children and families,” Eaton said.
The committee will meet again on Wednesday to finalize its priorities to share with the incoming Governor and Lieutenant Governor-elect Juliana Stratton.
