Salvation Army extends pantry hours to help furloughed federal workers

The Salvation Army of Winnebago County has extended its pantry services to give some relief to federal employees who have been affected by the partial government shutdown, now in its fourth week.

The pantry, located at 416 South Madison Street in Rockford, is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The pantry will be closed Monday, January 23rd in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Winnebago residents will need to bring a photo ID and proof of federal employement to receive services.
