Salvation Army halfway to $400,000 goal with this year’s Red Kettle Drive

News

With 8 days to go in its 2018 Red Kettle Campaign, the Salvation Army of Winnebago County says it is halfway to its goal, with $200,000 raised so far.

Volunteer bell ringers have been ringing their bells outside of area businesses for more than a month now. The money which is raised supports year-round programs and services of the Salvation Army, like supplying toys for children whose parents are incarcerated during Christmas.

This is the 128th Christmas season for the Red Kettle Drive.
