Just a day after being accused of sexual harassment, the Illinois Senate Democratic Majority Chairman is out.

Sen. Ira Silverstein (D) was removed from the position.  This comes after Lobbyist Denise Rotheimer accused him of sexually harassing her.  She claims Silverstein commented on her looks, called her late at night, and event went after her on social media.

“[Silverstein] would Facebook message me constantly, 400 pages of Facebooks from him,” said Rotheimer.  “He even killed my bill in April because he thought I had a boyfriend.  Mind you, this is a married man.”

Silverstein denied the accusations.  He said he won’t comment anymore on the matter until after an ethics investigation is complete.
