Fire crews battled a barn fire in the early Wednesday morning hours in Winnebago County.
There was a heavy response to Telegraph and Eddie Roads by numerous different departments, beginning around 4 a.m. Wednesday. Fire officials say the large response was due to a lack of water available to firefighters near the barn.
Firefighters had the flames out in about an hour.
Crews on scene say there were no injuries to people or animals, but the barn was completely destroyed. Propane tanks inside of the barn exploded amid the fire due to the heat.
The cause is not yet known; it is not clear if the overnight storms were to blame.
