The shooting death of a Pearl City man by a Stockton Police officer back in March has been ruled justified.
On March 29, Officer Sean Patridge shot and killed Troy Boyle, 41. Police were responding to a suspicious vehicle call for the car Boyle and two other men were inside.
When police arrived, Boyle acted as if he had a gun, leading to Officer Partridge opening fire, subsequently killing Boyle.
An investigation later revealed Boyle was high on methamphetamine at the time.
The Jo Daviess State’s Attorney reviewed the case and ruled Patridge’s use of force justified.
