The South Beloit Police Department is investigating burglaries at two businesses on Gardner Street.
Police say the first incident occurred at the Roscoe Antique Mall at 1019 Gardner Street on June 5th, when a suspect cut a hole in the back of the building and pried open the back door. The suspect, who was carrying two bags, was unable to gain entry into the building.
In the second incident, which occurred at Bubbles and Bows at 834 Gardner Street on June 10th, a man, described as a white male in a hooded sweatshirt with a dark stripe around hte upper arm, shorts, white tennis shoes and a goatee, shattered the front doors and entered the store.
Police say the suspect cut himself on the shattered door.
Both incident occurred around 4 a.m., but police said so far, there’s no evidence connecting the two.
