This weekend on the Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl, two teams will stake their claim to make the final four.
Hononegah and Belvidere North will clash in the third round. Hononegah defeated Harlem and Belvidere North defeated in-town rival Belvidere in the second round to set up this weekend’s matchup. Both schools know which subjects they’re good at and hope the questions will line up for them.
“Our strong suits usually are sports, science, and math,” said Hononegah’s Zack Eggers.
“We’re not terrible at miscellaneous questions, more pop culture, more recent stuff,” said Belvidere North’s captain Sylvia Diaz. “We’re also pretty good at literature.”
