Illinois lawmakers are working on a bill to tighten restrictions on firearms.
The bill would allow Illinois State Police to take guns away from those who make terrorist threats. This comes following the Florida nightclub shooting where one man killed 49 people.
But, opponents say they’re concerned the bill could lead to a slippery slope and an all-out attack on constitutional rights. To address that, a provision has been added to the bill that’ll allow people to appeal if their Firearm Owners Identifcation Cards cards are confiscated.
