Stateline Couple Scores Big Investment on ‘Shark Tank’

A Stateline couple gets to swim with the sharks — and even gets one to bite.

We’re talking about the program ‘Shark Tank’ on WTVO-17.  Friday’s episode including Glen and Tracie Burress, who were looking for an investor in their product ‘Sock Tabs.’

The devices attach socks together so you don’t lose them in the wash.  And one shark thinks their idea is a winner.

Business mogul Daymond John investing $50,000 for a 30% stake in the company.

And now the hard work really begins.

Glen tells ‘Eyewitness News’ “You know, so many things we did by hand before you know it has to be ramped up to a much higher level.   And all week we’ve been preparing for that. “

Tracie adds that, “Yeah, we’ve been preparing for nine million people to see our product.”

The timing is perfect too because they say Sock Tabs are great stocking stuffers and this is their high sales season.
