A new study reveals that the gender pay gap in the U.S. is improving, but there’s still work to be done.

Glassdoor released a report Wednesday, March 27 dubbed “Progress on the Gender Pay Gap: 2019.” The report accumulated and analyzed more than half-a-million salary reports from a wide range of companies in the U.S.

They revealed that women earn $0.79 for every dollar a man earned in 2019. This represents a 2.7% decrease in the past three years.

Early estimates by Glassdoor say the gender pay gap will remain until the year 2070.

The report credited the shrink on a stronger labor market and more women entering the work force.
