The teen accused of firing a gun inside Dixon High School is now being held at the Lee County Jail.

Dixon Police announced Thursday morning that Matthew Milby, 19, was released from KSB Hospital and processed.  He faces three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm.  Milby’s bond has been set at $2 million.  Additional charges could be filed.

Illinois State Police is handling the investigation.

On Wednesday around 8am, investigators say Milby fired several shots inside a school hallway.  School Resource Officer Mark Dallas confronted Milby and chased him out of the school.  Authorities say Milby fired several shots at Dallas on Armory Drive.  Dallas fired back, striking Milby.

Milby was taken into custody and transported to KSB Hospital for treatment.  All Dixon schools were placed on lockdown following the incident.  No students or staff were injured in the incident.
