A Janesville man is hospitalized after his car veered off a state highway ‘for no apparent reason’ according to Rock County Sheriff’s Deputies, who determined he was driving drunk.
It’s the 6th OWI arrest for 49-year-old Paul Fromandi.
The call came in at 5:51pm Monday that a vehicle had crashed at the intersection of State Highway 213 and Plymouth Church Rd. in Plymouth township.
Fromandi was the only person in the vehicle, was hurt, and had to be removed from it and taken to a nearby hospital where he was admitted for treatment and is listed in stable condition. Deputies say they could smell alcohol both on him and in the vehicle.
A search warrant was issued to draw blood to determine his blood alcohol content, although that information was not released.
Because Fromandi was hospitalized, a mug shot has not yet been taken, so the Sheriff’s Department has provided one from a 2013 DUI arrest.
