A violent armed robbery overnight at a Sycamore 7-Eleven gas station leads to a pair of arrests a short time later.

Police arrested the two suspects, who were identified on surveillance footage at the location on West State Street.

The suspects allegedly robbed the store and shot the clerk twice.

The clerk is expected to be okay.

Authorities spotted the getaway car around 1 am this morning.

The suspects crashed in Elmhurst after police pursued them. Police believe the suspects were also involved in another armed robbery early this morning in Carol Stream.
