Teens try to rob, shoot at woman on Rockford’s Sherman Avenue

A woman is lucky to be alive after three teens attempted to rob and then shot at her late Friday morning.

Police say that around 11:19 a.m. a 30-year-old woman met with three teens, a girl and two boys, whom she had met online, to sell an item in the 2100 block of Sherman Avenue.

One of the male suspects then attempted to grab her phone. 

The victim fled in her vehicle and one of the male suspects fired several rounds at her from a handgun.

The first suspect is described as a black male teen, wearing no shirt, black jogging pants, armed with a black handgun, riding a silver/black bicycle.

The second suspect is described as a black male teen, wearing a black shirt and black shorts.

The third suspect is described as a black female teen, wearing a blue hoodie and black pants.
