It’s that time of year again as residents and police honor those who serve and protect for the 38th Annual Police Memorial Event.
Several activities will take place around the Stateline, and Officer Lisa Hodges joined us this morning to share all the events happening.
The Northern Illinois Police Memorial Week includes four days of events, which shows police support and appreciation to the Local Law Enforcement Agencies and the communities that they serve, and most importantly honoring those Law Enforcement Officers who have given the “Ultimate Sacrifice”.
Law enforcement officers are encouraged to attend a memorial service, but an open invite is also extended to the public. This year’s Memorial Service will be held May 17th at 7 p.m. at Roscoe United Methodist, 10816 Main Street, Roscoe, IL 61073.
A three-day interactive display will take place at Cherryvale Mall showing off squad cars, and have K9 demonstrations. This goes through Sunday, May 20th.
