More than 30 protestors are awaiting court dates after being arrested outside of Governor Bruce Rauner’s office on Tuesday.
They were part of the hundreds of people rallying all over the Capitol during the March to Springfield. Note that the attached video shows protesters, but not those who were actually arrested.
The demonstration got physical once protestors got into the House chambers with police seen dragging some out of the building.
Protestors were released within an hour and are now awaiting court dates and being charged with criminal trespassing. It was estimated nearly 500 people showed up to speak out about the lack of a state budget.
