Three Juveniles Arrested for Drive-By Shooting in South Beloit

Three juveniles are arrested after a drive-by shooting in South Beloit.

The shooting happened around 11:30 Thursday night at 104 S. McKinley Avenue. Residents inside said a single gunshot was fired through a window, from a vehicle, and hit a television. No one inside the house was injured.

Information regarding the suspect vehicle led to police locating and stopping the car around 1 a.m.  Police detained three individuals in the car. A subsequent investigation led to a home in the 700 block of 10th Street in Beloit, where a rifle was recovered.

As a result, the three juveniles – two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old, all from Beloit – were arrested and charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.

They are being held at the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center.
