Three Rockford Men Arrested on Narcotics Violations

Three men are in police custody following a narcotics investigation in Rockford.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit set up an undercover drug buy in a parking lot at Perryville and N. Cherryvale Mall Drive on Wednesday. The unit recovered 30 grams of heroin, 10 grams of crack cocaine and nearly three grams of cannabis.

Authorities also recovered a handgun, a vehicle and $8,000 cash.

The following men were arrested:

  • Steven Alston, 27, of Rockford – unlawful use of a weapon by a felon; possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine; armed violence; resisting arrest
  • Willie Walker III, 29, of Rockford – unlawful use of a weapon by a felon; possession of cannabis
  • Anthony Lofton, 31, of Rockford – unlawful use of a weapon by a felon; possession of cannabis


All men are being held at the Winnebago County Jail.
