PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man who told police he had a falling out with a friend is now accused of putting together an explosive toolbox that spread dog feces when his ex-friend opened it.

Robb Alexander Stout faces multiple charges following the April 16 incident, the probable cause documents state.

On that day, the ex-friend saw a yellow toolbox on the back of his Camaro. When he opened it, the toolbox “exploded with such force that it sounded like an M-80 going off and the dog scat was blown out of the toolbox,” the document states.

He called police, said he suspected Stout did this.

The explosive was in a plastic toolbox, “containing dog excrement, a battery, wiring, switches and a vehicle airbag that had the fabric restraint removed.”

When a detective contacted Stout, he admitted he used to be friends with the victim but was angry he wouldn’t return some property.

Stout also admitted, according to the probable cause, they used to watch YouTube prank videos and he added a safety switch so he could move the toolbox without it exploding, and that he used not only his dog’s feces but other feces found in a courtyard.

During a search of his residence, detectives also found meth and a short-barreled shotgun but “didn’t know if it was functional.”

The 48-year-old man, who previously has 8 drug convictions on his record, now faces charges of manufacturing a destructive device, being a felon in possession of a gun, possession of a short-barreled shotgun and possession of meth.
