A routine traffic stop became much more serious for a Capron man.

Officers arrested Cesar Fonseca, 24, on Monday.  A Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled Fonseca over in the 4400 block of Squaw Prairie Road for a traffic violation.  Investigators say a search of the car yielded cocaine.  They also seized cash and electronics.

Fonseca is charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a senior citizen complex.  If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison.
