Truck in Rock River at Auburn St. Bridge

UPDATE: Police tell Eyewitness News the Chevy Silverado was headed south on North Second Street.  The driver veered right, jumped the railroad tracks, over the bike path, destroying the curb, and crashed into the river.  A witness claims the driver was cut off by another car.

The 65 year-old Silverado driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  Alcohol is being considered as a possible factor in the crash.  However, no charges have been issued yet.

UPDATE:  The occupants of a large pickup truck are reportedly okay after their truck went into the Rock River just off of the Auburn Street bridge just after 2:30pm this afternoon.

It is unclear how the truck ended up there.
