TV Program to Air In-Depth Story on Murder of Katrina Smith and Conviction of Husband Todd Smith

News

One of the biggest murder trials in recent memory will be the focus of a nationally syndicated TV show Tuesday. The program ‘Crime Watch Daily’ will devote an entire show  to the murder of Katrina Smith and the murder conviction of her husband Todd Smith.

Chris Hanson hosts the program which talks to local prosecutors, police and Katrina Smith’s family about the nearly five-year long ordeal.

Miraynda Salinas, Katrina Smith’s sister telling the program they suspected that Todd killed her almost from the very beginning.  “My brother and I both knew that Todd did it.  Initially it was just finding out pieces about his past that we didn’t know .. that he changed his name, that he has previously been arrested when he was 17 for trying to burn his family’s house down while his family members were in it.”

Investigators also talk about the one mistake Todd Smith made that they say ensured his conviction.  ‘How GPS Solved a Murder’, the Todd Smith murder case airs Tuesday on Crime Watch Daily from 3-4pm pm on MyNetwork TV Channel 17.2.
