Two $1 million winning tickets in Wednesday’s historic Powerball drawing were sold in Illinois.
The winning tickets were purchased at Citgo Food Mart in Glenview and at a newsstand at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. Both tickets matched the first five numbers.
In addition, six $100,000 winning tickets and 37 $50,000 winning tickets were sold in Illinois. More than 893,000 prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000 were won in the state.
Last night’s Powerball jackpot was estimated to be worth $1.5 billion, the largest, single prize lottery jackpot in world history. Winning tickets of that jackpot were reportedly sold in California, Tennessee and Florida.
