Two in Custody in Connection to Rockford Standoff

News

Two people are in custody in connection to Saturday morning’s shooting, that led to a close to six hour standoff with Rockford Police.

Dominique Patterson, 31, turned herself in at the Winnebago County Justice Center.  She arrived around 10:15 a.m. and asked to speak with police.

Meanwhile, investigators were still on scene, at Rockton Avenue, when Larry Gary, 44, came out of the home.

Police then searched the home where they found one gun and ammunition.  A second gun was found in a nearby yard.

Patterson faces charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

Gary is facing charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Armed Habitual Criminal and Two Counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

Both are currently held in the Winnebago County Jail.
