Two men were arrested in connection with a series of burglaries that occurred in Beloit throughout the month of December.

Beloit Police and the Rock County Sheriff’s Department say Brandon Plummer, 29, and Eric Wincapaw, 32, were charged on December 28th after police officers, who were surveilling both men as suspects in the burglaries, witnessed them breaking into a house in the 1600 block of Sixth Street.

Police say Rock County Detectives were waiting outside the residence as Plummer broke into the house and Wincapaw waited in a vehicle. When Plummer emerged from the house, he was arrested after a brief struggle.

The Beloit Police responded to the burglary.

Wincapaw fled the area when Plummer was arrested, but police were able to track him down a short time later and take him into custody.

Police say the two men are suspects in other burglaries throughout the area and more arrests are anticipated.
