Two People Arrested in Janesville After Discovery of Marijuana Plants

Two people are placed under arrest after police discover they’re growing marijuana in their house.

Police raided the home at 1057 Jerome Avenue in Janesville on Monday. Authorities had received information that led them to believe their were guns being held in the house and one of the occupants was a felon.

When police searched the home, they found a total of 11 marijuana plants as well as cocaine and drug paraphernalia. No firearms were found, but ammunition for a handgun were located.

John Hume, 38, and Shirlene Hume, 58, both of Janesville, were taken into custody without incident. They face charges of manufacturing and delivery of THC plants, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
