ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — At around Midnight on Saturday, May 20th. Rockford Police Department said that two women were injured in a shooting on the 2100 block on N. Court Street.

According to police, officers were called to the scene around 10:35 p.m. and found two women who had been injured, possibly by shrapnel. Three vehicles and a residence were struck by gunfire, police said.

A third woman arrived at a local hospital later, suffering from similar injuries.

A GoFundMe, established for one of the alleged victims, Raquel Campos, claims the women were attending a birthday party and the shooting was a random act. Campos was reportedly struck six times in both legs.

Police said none of the injuries were fatal.
