The Rock River United Way kicks off its 2016 Season of Giving with a look at how it’s moving forward and making a difference.
It featured a video with two very familiar faces exploring one of its newest projects. It showcased United Way CeO Paul Logli and our own Mimi Murphy as they tour one of their strong houses. The homes in some of Rockford’s toughest neighborhoods meant to both be a resource for the community and make a statement about caring for those who live there. The agency was even able to use matching fund to repave sidewalks in the area – making it easier for kids to walk safely to school.
“You should see the sidewalks that are now safe for children to walk on and getting you more return on your investment,” said Logli.
