UPDATE – Traffic on Alpine is now back open after a serious crash involving a motorcycle Friday morning.
The accident happened around 11 a.m. at E. State and Alpine. Rockford Police say the motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in the crash, the drivers of two other vehicles involved were not hurt.
Northbound Alpine traffic was closed south of E. State and diverted onto Mannhiem Rd. behind CVS Pharmacy for nearly three hours, it has since reopened.
