A ComEd crew is repairing the transformer, and activities have resumed as normal inside the center.
Rockford Fire and surrounding fire departments were called to the Barbara Olson Center for Hope after a smell of smoke in the building.
That is a school for developmentally disabled students that’s located at 3206 N. Central.
