UPDATE: DeKalb woman feared kidnapped found safe



DeKalb Police say a woman reportedly kidnapped from a Casey’s General Store was taken by bounty hunters.

Through their investigation, it was learned that the victim may have defaulted on a bail bond contract out in Mississippi. Investigators confirmed the incident with a bail bond company out of DeSoto County, Mississippi.

The agents of the bail bond company put investigators in phone contact with the alleged victim. Investigators were able to confirm her safety and say she’s en route to the DeSoto County Jail to await a court appearance.


DeKalb Police are searching for a woman reportedly kidnapped from a Casey’s General Store on Friday afternoon.

Police say Clarissa R. Riddle, 27, was abducted by a man and woman around 3:20 p.m from the Casey’s location on N. Annie Glidden Road.

Riddle is described as a black female, 5’03”, 180 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing a black dress with a floral print.

The suspects are described as: a white male, 6’03”, 185 lbs, wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a hat; a white female, 5’03”, skinny build with unknown clothing. 

The suspect vehicle is a white SUV with a Tennessee partial plate of “A”. The vehicle was last seen heading southbound on First Street from West Lincoln Highway.
