UPDATE (12/30): It turns out it was an electrical fire in transmitter gear at the Fox-39 tower that took it off the air Thursday morning.
New parts have been ordered to replace those which were damaged, and will arrive and be installed Friday night, and the station should be back on-air Saturday morning.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
For the second time in a week, WQRF-Fox 39 is off the air, this time due to an electrical problem.
The transmitter shorted out after a power bump Thursday morning. Our engineers along with an electrician are working to correct the problem, but there is currently no timetable for repair.
The outage impacts those who get Fox-39 over-the-air or by satellite
On Christmas Eve, a critical part failed in the transmitter that put it off the air until a replacement part could be shipped on Tuesday.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
