ROCKFORD, Ill. - One person is dead following at shooting at the Taco Bell at 2602 Auburn Street in Rockford.
Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea confirmed the death during a media briefing. Police were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
A second victim was also shot, they are expected to survive.
UPDATE: 11:21 Police have released the ages of the two victims.
Police say the 25-year old man and a 37-year old female were in an vehicle in the parking lot. Both were taken to the hospital.
The man was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.
The woman is in serious, but non-life threatening condition.
Police say this incident does not appear to be random.
