UPDATE (8/16/16, 4:00 a.m.): Authorities in DeKalb County have identified the two people, said to be an elderly mother and her son, found killed in rural Sycamore on Monday night.
Police say Patricia Wilson, 85, and her son, Robert Wilson, 64, were both found dead with head injuries. Investigators also say that a 2010 Chevy Impala was taken from their house.
Specifics have not been given on how they died, and authorities are not yet calling it a murder investigation, but police did say it appears that someone did force their way into the home.
A news conference is scheduled for 10 o’clock this morning.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department is now heading the investigation which it is calling nothing more than a death investigation right now.
They received the call for the investigation at 16058 Old State Road early Monday evening. Police did confirm during a press conference that two people were found dead, but couldn’t go into specifics at this time because it was too early in the investigation. However, police tell Eyewitness News they don’t believe that the public is in danger as of right now.
“If we believed the public is in danger we would make that notification,” said Chief Deputy Andy Sullivan, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. “At this time, it is in the early stages of the investigation, we’re still pursuing every avenue that we have right now.”
There will be another press conference with updated information tomorrow morning at 10 at the Sycamore Police Department.
