UPDATE: Police Looking for ‘Persons of Interest’ in Attempted Bank Robbery

UPDATE (7/13/16, 11:00 a.m.): Rockford Police are now seeking for two men wanted for questioning after an attempted robbery at a east side Rockford bank Tuesday.

Photos of the men they are looking for are attached at the top of this article.

Police say the two men they want for questioning were at the same bank on Monday acting suspiciously, according to bank employees.

Anyone with information on the attempted robbery, or the men pictured above, are asked to call Rockford Police.

Rockford Police say an alert employee foiled a bank robbery.

Police received a call at 3:52pm of an attempted bank robbery at the Harvard State Bank at 2470 Eastrock Dr. on Rockford’s east side.  When they arrived, they were told a person inside the bank noticed three suspicious men approaching and locked the doors.

They believe the men were wearing masks as well as both gray and black hoodies, which would be suspicious attire given the warm weather.  One of the men was wearing a backpack.

No weapons were seen and the men left the scene before police arrived.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rockford Police or Crimestoppers
