UPDATE: Rockford Police Investigating East Side Bank Robbery


UPDATE:  Rockford Police have released a surveillance photo of the man who robbed an Associated Bank Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were called the bank shortly before 3pm after the suspect walked into the bank at 4400 Center Terrace and presented a note to one of the tellers.  The note implied that he had a weapon although it was not displayed.

The robber is described as a black male in his 40’s, 6’1″ tall, 250 pounds wearing a red hat, sunglasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt and gloves, and a white mask covering part of his face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Investigations Bureau (779-500-6551), Crime Stoppers (815-963-7867), or the local office of the FBI.


Police are on the scene of a bank robbery on Rockford’s east side.

It happened around 3 p.m. at the Associated Bank on Center Terrace. That’s near Alpine and Newburg.
