UPDATE: Suspect Flees Police, Crashes Car into Creek

UPDATE (6/2/16): Police have named the man arrested after fleeing and crashing a car in a creek Wednesday night.

Quintonio Jones, 31, faces aggravated fleeing charges, as well as a list of others, including endangering the life of a child.

One person is in custody after allegedly fleeing police and crashing their car, with three other people inside, including a child.

Police say the driver of a red, Pontiac-style vehicle sped off as they attempted to make a traffic stop in the 3100 block of W. State St. Officers say the car matched the description of a vehicle wanted in connection to several other criminal incidents that occurred earlier in the day.

A short time later, the suspect crashed the car into a creek at Kilburn and W. State — landing upside down in the water. Three people inside the vehicle, including one child, were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, whose name has not yet been released, is charged with Aggravated Fleeing.

Police say more charges are pending.
