Rockton Police are reminding residents to lock their doors, after several homes were burglarized overnight.

Police Chief Stephen Dickson says the burglaries took place to cars and homes through unlocked doors and garages mainly in the Pinecroft neighborhood. A vehicle was also taken in the Wingate subdivision after a person entered through an unlocked back patio.

Officers are now aggressively patrolling the target areas. They’re also reminding residents to remain vigilant and lock and close doors at night.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity is asked to call 911, or Rockton Police’s non-emergency number at (815) 282-2600.
