UPDATE: Woman Hurt in Shooting on Rockford’s West Side

UPDATE: Police say a 32-year-old woman was hit by a bullet in her upper torso. Her injury is said to be minor. Police say she was shot while sitting in her white car in a parking lot in the 3400 block of Garfield Drive around 3:30, Sunday afternoon. Another vehicle was also hit by gunfire.

Witnesses told police the suspect was shooting at parked cars. He is described as a black male, about 5’10”. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with black shorts.
