Hundreds of medical marijuana advocates and veterans rallied outside the state Capitol Wednesday. They were there to deliver more than 25,000 petition signatures to the governor.

Advocates rallied for the eight medical conditions being considered for treatment. Veterans who suffer from PTSD and other conditions shared their stories about how cannabis changed their lives.

They asked Governor Rauner to allow them safe and legal access to medical marijuana. Body bags were on display to represent how many veterans commit suicide daily.
