Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is leaving to become the head coach of the Denver Broncos, ESPN reports.

Fangio, 60, had interviewed for the Bears’ head coach position last year before agreeing to return as defensive coordinator alongside first-year coach Matt Nagy.

Fangio has been a defensive coordinator for the 49ers, Texans, Colts and Panthers in a 32-year career with the NFL.

ESPN says Fangio will receive a four-year contract with the Broncos.
