A toddler is okay after she fell out of a car, car seat and all, on Monday.
In a video shared on Facebook, the 2-year-old girl topples out of the driver’s side rear door at around 11:45 a.m. as the car was turning a corner.
Driver Chad Mock, who was driving behind the vehicle, stopped to halt traffic and flag down the baby’s mother.
Mankato Police say the child was properly fastened in the car seat, but the seat was not secured to the car.
The child’s mother stopped as soon as she realized her daughter was missing.
Police are recommending the mother be charged with child endangerment for not fastening the child in the car with a child restraint system.
