First responders with the Naperville Fire Department were quick to the rescue of an 11-year-old boy who became stuck in a frozen retention pond on Sunday, and the incident was caught on video.
The boy was conscious and told resuers his feet were stuck in the mud at the bottom of the pond.
A police sergeant threw the boy a rescue disc and the fire department personnel entered the pond and pulled the boy out.
The boy was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital. He was reported to be in stable condition.
