Stateliners had their eyes to the skies for Sunday’s total lunar eclipse, but most missed out.
The lunar eclipse and the so called “Super Moon” shared the stage Sunday night, something that hasn’t happened since 1982. But cloudy skies made it difficult for many in the Rockford area to see the event. However, some further north in the stateline got to catch a glimpse of the space attraction.
The next time a total lunar eclipse comes around will be 18 years from now, in the year 2033.
