Beginning this week, Walmart is launching online grocery pickup service at Supercenters in Rockford, Belvidere and Roscoe.
The free service enables customers to order groceries online and pick them up at their local Walmart without leaving their cars. Customers can begin placing orders today for pickup on June 14 by visiting grocery.walmart.com.
Shoppers just type in their zip code to find the nearest Walmart, select the items they want, then choose a time to pick up the order. Personal grocery shoppers will then gather the order and deliver it to the customer’s car when they arrive at the store at designated parking spots.
Customers can choose from 30,000 items including fresh produce, meats and organic groceries.
The three locations providing the service locally are in Rockford, at the 7219 Walton Street location, in Belivdere, at the 2101 Gateway Center Drive location, and in Roscoe, at the 4781 E. Rockton Road location.
